We have a range of workshops lined up for your child this upcoming December, ranging from therapeutic Mandala and Zen Doodle Art, Global Thinkers workshops, Literature Circle to Cambridge Checkpoint Revision Classes.
Online Mandala Art Workshop
7 – 12 Years Old l 14 - 18 Dec l 10am – 12pm
13 - 18 Years Old l 28 - 31 Dec l 10am – 12pm

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗔𝗿𝘁 is symbolic yet therapeutic. Designing and colouring Mandalas can train one’s focus. It is a great way for 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙭𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 and 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙. Children learn 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 and 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 through Mandala. It also helps them to connect to their inner self and transform negative energies into positive ones, bringing balance to their lives.
During the workshop, the students will:
- understand what Mandala Art is and how it helps in reducing stress.
- learn the method of starting a Mandala.
-build the basic structure to get the perfect Mandala.
- create repetitive patterns for busting stress.
- discover their own unique style.
- learn shading techniques
This workshop is conducted by Ms Christina Ng, an Art teacher with 15 years' experience in designing Children Art curriculum, training teachers and teaching Art programmes.
Online Zen Doodle Workshop
7 – 12 Years Old l 21 - 24 Dec l 10am – 12pm l RM200
Most of us have doodled on our notebook or worksheets at some point in life, as a way of expressing ourselves or releasing stress. Zen Doodle is the art of transforming a simple doodle into a beautiful piece of artwork using structured and repetitive patterns.
During the workshop, the students will learn:
- the key features of Zen Doodle Art and its therapeutic effect.
- different drawing techniques of creating compositions and patterns.
- shading techniques with pens and colour pencils.
Through the guided process, the children will discover their own unique artistic styles and apply them into creating their own original artwork.
This workshop is conducted by Ms Christina Ng, an Art teacher with 15 years experience in designing Children Art curriculum, training teachers and teaching Art programmes.
Online Global Thinkers Workshops
Year 4 - 6 l 7 - 11 Dec, 1pm – 3pm
Year 7 - 11 l 7 - 11 Dec, 10am – 12pm
Year 7 - 11 l 21 - 25 Dec, 10am – 12pm

𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 are important 21 century skills that all learners need in order to succeed in school and life. The ability to think critically and to communicate ideas clearly are the most sought-after skills in almost every industry and workplace.
During the workshop the students will:

learn more about global economic, political and social issues.

develop high order thinking skills to critically evaluate global affairs.

develop the ability to communicate ideas persuasively and effectively.
The workshops are conducted by Mr Nigel Amrith from Podium Academy, an acclaimed debate coach and critical thinking skills trainer with over 8 years of teaching experience. Many of his students represented Malaysia in international debate and global scholars competitions. Nigel's research writing and coaching skills have also earned him working stints with NGOs such as the Global Entrepreneurship Movement, and the Malaysian Institute of Debate and Public Speaking.
Online Literature Circle Workshop
Year 4 - 6 l 7 - 11 Dec l 10am – 12pm l RM300
Literature Circle is a structured 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 & 𝙒𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 session which aims to promote a love of reading and joy of writing. Learners are engaged in 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 and 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 as they read, discuss and respond to literature stories. They learn to 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙫𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚, such as character development, setting and theme. As their vocabulary bank is expanded, and they learn to 𝙚𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙧'𝙨 𝙬𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚, their writing skills will improve too.
During the 5-day workshop, the students will:

read an adventure story with historical setting, ‘𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗶𝗶’, told from the perspective of three dogs, describing typical Roman life and follows the timeline of the famous volcanic eruption of Mt Vesuvius.

learn to appreciate the themes of friendship, loss and survival.

learn to write eyewitness account, news script and news report

learn to present a news story
This workshop is conducted by Mr Eric Voong, an IGCSE teacher with 9 years of teaching experience in various English Academy, including British Council.
Online Cambridge Year 9 Checkpoint English Workshop
7 - 11 Dec l 10am – 12pm l RM300
This workshop is designed to prepare students for the Cambridge Year 9 Checkpoint English examination in April 2021 or October 2021.
The following topics will be covered in the 5-day workshops:
- 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘀 (finding main ideas, supporting details and making comparisons)
- 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (writing concise sentences, paraphrasing, structure & layout)
- 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 (understanding and using imagery & literary devices)
- 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗲 & 𝗔𝗿𝗴𝘂𝗲 (persuasive writing techniques and evaluating arguments)
- 𝗙𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (creating great characters, settings and plots along with suitable mood)
The workshop is conducted by Mr Daniel Dusanjh, an IGCSE English teacher with 10 years of teaching experience. Mr Daniel is also a Google Certified Educator, a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator and a Coach to Online Teaching and Learning. His online classes are effective and engaging as he is able to monitor the students’ work ‘live’, provide instant feedback and conduct interactive online lessons by using a myriad of online teaching tools.
Online Cambridge Year 9 Checkpoint Math Workshop
14 - 18 Dec l 1pm – 3pm l RM300
This workshop is designed to prepare students for the Cambridge Year 9 Checkpoint Math examination in April 2021 or October 2021.
During the 5-day workshops, the following areas will be covered:
- Review of key topics;
- Answering techniques; and
- Practice of past year papers
The workshop is conducted by Ms Carmen Kho, an IGCSE Math teacher who graduated from Monash University and has 6 years of teaching experience.
